Pseudonymisierung ist die Verarbeitung personenbezogener Daten so, dass sie ohne getrennt aufbewahrte zusätzliche Informationen nicht mehr einer bestimmten Person zugeordnet werden können. Die zusätzlichen Informationen müssen durch technische und organisatorische Maßnahmen geschützt werden, und pseudonymisierte Daten bleiben im Allgemeinen personenbezogene Daten, wenn eine Re-Identifizierung möglich ist.
According to Article 4 of the GDPR, personal data may no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without recourse to additional information, provided that this additional information is kept separately and subject to technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person.
